GPA Calculator

Calculate weighted or unweighted GPA from letter grades and credits. Choose a 4.0 or 4.3 scale, set decimal precision, and decide whether failed grades count toward GPA credits.

How it works

  • Letter grades convert to grade points using your selected scale.
  • Optional weight adds to the base point (e.g., +0.5 for Honors, +1.0 for AP/IB).
  • Weighted points can be capped to the scale maximum if enabled.
  • Pass (P) is excluded from GPA by default; F is included unless you turn it off.

Tips

  • Use “Cap Weighted” for schools that do not allow points beyond the scale max.
  • Keep decimals to 2 for a clean transcript-style readout.
  • Enter one row per course with its credits and letter grade.
